Exceptional Care, Exceptional Service kick-off

On Thursday, Sept. 28, the Exceptional Care, Exceptional Service (ECES) Strategy Team hosted a rally to extend thanks and recognition to the many staff and employees who have helped develop the ECES initiative, which will soon be rolled out to promote exceptional customer service throughout Children's Hospital Boston. Twelve ECES teams and 131 staff and employees, representing approximately 46 departments, have been involved in strategy development to date, including Environmental Services, Security, the Martha Eliot Health Center, Facilities and Nursing. Two special ECES Awards were also presented at the rally. The first went to Christine Gallagher in Plastic Surgery, who came up with and followed through on her idea of providing families with car seat carts to save them from needing to bring strollers. The second award was given to the Department of Public Affairs and Marketing in recognition of the department's dedication and enthusiasm for the overall ECES initiative. Watch for further ECES updates!
