Children's ice cream event a huge success

Children's Hospital Boston's "Endless Summer 2005 Employee Appreciation Ice Cream Event" was a huge success, with an estimated 4,800 scoops of ice cream served during day and night sessions in the Main Lobby and Patient Entertainment Center on Wednesday, September 14.

Employees lined up as far as the eye could see to fill their bowls with Brigham's ice cream and toppings or fresh fruit. Several hospital leaders, including COO Sandra Fenwick, Vice President of Public Affairs and Marketing Michelle Davis, and Vice President of Ambulatory and Network Services Mark Marcantano, greeted the hungry crowd, topping off their sundaes with whipped cream and cherries.

This year, Children's not only held day and evening events on the Longwood campus, but also day events at all satellite locations, including Children's at Peabody, Lexington and Waltham, and the Martha Eliot Health Center.
