Sibylla Orth Young scholarships awarded

Ludivenis Lara

hen Boston-area nurse Sibylla Orth Young died in 1986, a fund was established in her name to help Children's Hospital Boston employees and their family members pursue college-level education in health-related fields. This year, 22 employees and 10 eligible family members received awards, including Ludivenis Lara, a clinical assistant on Fegan 11. Lara will use her award toward an associate's degree in Nursing at Laboure College. "I've always wanted to be a nurse," says Lara, who expects to graduate in April 2006. "I love everything about nursing and everything about pediatrics. This scholarship will help me finally get to where I want to be."
