This month's scoop

Most wired—again!
For the third year in a row (and the fourth time in five years), Children's Hospital Boston has been selected as one of the 100 "Most Wired" institutions nationwide. Each year since 1999, Hospitals & Health Networks has surveyed the nation's hospitals on their use of information technology to accomplish key strategic and operational goals, including safety and quality objectives. The organization annually names the 100 Most Wired Hospitals and Health Systems, and this year Children's is one of only two children's hospitals on the list.

Sushi makes waves
The Food Services Department's new partnership with Sea to you Sushi has been a great success, with the second sushi day of the summer being held in late August. "We're trying new things while staying health-conscious," says Shawn Goldrick, director of Food Services. The second sushi day offered more variety in response to customer feedback. Look for more sushi days soon.

Departmental moves
The following departments have relocated to 120 Brookline Avenue: Child Advocacy, Public Affairs and Marketing, Intellectual Property Office, Clinical Trials Office, some of Human Resources, Physician Relations, General Pediatrics and Asthma. After the moves, the Clinical Research Program will go into part of 21 Autumn from 333 Longwood. See Online Extras for details.

Latino Heritage Celebration salsa cruise
On Sept. 16, as part of Children's Latino Heritage Month celebrations, many employees set sail on a Salsa & Latin dance cruise along Boston Harbor. In addition to taking in some great city skyline views, cruisers got to partake in dancing, live music and food.
