Proud Mamas pull together

Rowing Strong, Rowing Together's Proud Mamas, a team of nine Boston mothers who participated in Children's Young Parents Progrm, competed in the annual Young Parents Regatta in South Hadley, Mass., on Saturday, Aug. 19. Coached by Children's Primary Care Center staffers Jennifer Valenzuela, Anthony Masiello and Anu Vyavaharkar, the the team had been practicing weekly at the MDC Community Boating House in Allston/Brighton to prepare for the regatta. Teamwork paid off for the Mamas who, despite not bringing home the gold, received heaps of press coverage from publications like the Boston Herald, Bay State Banner, the Dorchester Reporter and the Jamaica Plain/Hyde Park Bulletin.
