amilies
come from around the world for care at Children’s Hospital
Boston—often staying for weeks or months at a time—and
although they want to stay together, it is sometimes hard to find
an affordable home-away-from-home. Hotels and apartment rentals
are expensive, nearby accommodations are limited and patient rooms
only have space for one parent. To be close to their child’s
care, some parents choose to take shifts in their child’s
bedside cot or even sleep in their cars. However, there are several
alternatives for families to consider, including the new Devon Nicole
House.
