The following letter was sent to the Division of Sports Medicine at Children's Hospital Boston.

Hi Everyone,

It's been almost a year to the day since our son Kevin had his ACL surgery (June 13, 2005), and what a year it's been!

We wanted to take the time to thank you for all the help you gave our family in a time that was very difficult for us. We know you do the same for others, and it's "just part of the job," but you made things run so smoothly when we needed them to. Thanks!

Kevin pitched a "no hitter" last Sunday, and a friend took this photo of him. It's something he only dreamed of doing a year ago, and Dr. [Lyle] Micheli [director of Sports Medicine] made it possible for it to become a reality for him. As a parent, there are no words...

We'll see Dr. Micheli soon for the 12-month follow-up visit and what should be a clean bill of health!

Thanks again!
