Harvard president delivers Blackfan lecture


n June 11, Lawrence Summers, president of Harvard University, delivered the 50th annual Blackfan Lecture, marking the 100th anniversary of the Children’s
Alumni Association.

The lecture was presented by Children’s Alumni Association and organized by Robert Shamberger, MD, alumni president, and Fredrick Lovejoy, MD. “This was a significant opportunity to celebrate 100 years of service by the Alumni Association, not only within the hospital but with the broader Harvard Medical School community,” said Lovejoy, who moderated the event.
