EMS Week

61 Days in Accounts Receivable
As of April 30, 2005, the Children's Hospital Boston's collection period, as measured in days outstanding in accounts receivable, was 61 days—a new milestone for the hospital! So the Finance team celebrated on Tuesday, May 17. Not only is this a first for Children's, it places the hospital's Patient Financial Services, Ambulatory, ISD and Patient Care Services teams amongst the best both in Boston and amongst pediatric hospitals nationwide. The hospital now schedules, registers, bills and collects more effectively thanks in part to key investments in the new Epic system.
