Three Ways To Help Children’s
NSTAR’s Walk for Children’s is June 14 and there are many ways to get involved. Stroll for seven or two miles along the Charles River while raising funds for the hospital. Volunteer to help the walk go smoothly by directing walkers along the route or doing other crucial tasks. Walk virtually if you can’t be there physically, but still want to support the hospital. Run the Bank of America Chicago Marathon
Although registration for the Bank of America Chicago Marathon on October 11 is closed, you don’t have to miss out. You can run as part of Children’s Miles for Miracles Team Chicago. Members agree to fundraise for the hospital and receive many perks in return—access to an experienced coach, a detailed running program and a personal Web page. But the biggest perk is helping kids battling critical illness. Already a registered runner? You can still join the team. For more information, visit childrenshospital.org/run or call 5-2896.
