Gratitudes

Please allow me to join the many people who have been in touch with you since your recent segment on NBC. The story of you and your accomplishments at Children's Hospital Boston gave all of us in the field a moment of tremendous pride. And I know the millions of Americans who watched—who live nowhere near Boston and have never had an encounter with a children's hospital—felt an inner voice say to them, "Yes, this is what good hospitals and good hospital people are all about. I hope there's someone like her at the hospital in my town."

Thank you for being a pioneer, teacher and role model for others who work in the world of children's medical care. My real hope is that you continue in your work in some way for a long time to come, and keep on inspiring and encouraging others to do what you have done.

Sincerely,
