The following letter came to Lisa Morrissey, MSN, RN, nurse manager on 6 North.
Dear Mrs. Morrissey,
We wanted to take this opportunity to write you regarding our daughter Stephanie's recent stay at Children's Hospital Boston. Stephanie was in the hospital for three-and-a-half weeks this winter after being diagnosed with leukemia.
Your nursing staff was absolutely phenomenal and made what was a very heart-wrenching and difficult situation very tolerable.
The nurses demonstrated a very high level of professionalism, compassion and concern. This all contributed immensely to Stephanie's positive outlook and the progress that she made then, as well as now.
It would be virtually impossible for us to list the name of every nurse and assistant that helped us, but we'd like to note that both of Steph's primary nurses, Katie Hagerty and Josie Semel, were absolutely fantastic.
Thank you for everything you and your staff have done
for us.
