For the past 30 years, Dr. Pat Vives has been a wonderful contributing citizen at the Children's Hospital Boston. Dr. Vives came to the US from Chile in 1971, and has worked part-time in clinics devoted to the care of children whose families are primarily Spanish speaking. At Children's he initiated the "Spanish Clinic", now known as the Spanish Consultation Program in the Children's Hospital Boston Primary Care Center, and he has been an outstanding role model for residents, fellows and medical students. He has been described by his peers as "a caring, compassionate and thoughtful physician" and "a master clinician and teacher." Congratulations to Dr. Vives for his many years of devoted service to the children and families of Children's Hospital Boston.
