Dona Allen, RN, Operating Room
Dona was a staff nurse for a short time at the Deaconess and St. Margarets prior to finding her niche at Childrens hospital, in the Operating Room, and except for a short transfer to the Recovery Room, has remained for thirty years. Dona is a committed, caring and conscientious nurse who demonstrates proficiency in all surgical specialties. She is organized, thorough, collaborative and willing to share knowledge. She is always willing to assist colleagues in any way, and works diligently on committee and project work. She is particularly interested in the educational needs of colleagues and contributes to the work of the Perioperative Education Committee. Her colleagues praise her for her expertise, calm approach and her high level of collaboration.
