Eileen Gorss, MT (ASCP), Laboratory Medicine
Eileen Gorss has been an asset to the Microbiology laboratory for the past 25 years. During her first 7 years at Children's she read cultures and performed tests to identify organisms. In 1986, she was promoted to Technical Supervisor. Nearly 20 years later, she continues to read cultures, train new employees and assist with the daily operation of the work performed in the Microbiology laboratory. Eileen promotes a cooperative work environment and she is always willing to lend a hand or a sympathetic ear. She has worked many long days and extra weekend shifts as she is committed to her job and her colleagues. Eileen enjoys time with family and friends and traveling to different parts of the world. Thank you Eileen for your many years of dedicated service to the hospital.
