Walter began as a Pressman in the Print Shop. Using the hospital’s tuition assistance benefit, he obtained his Associate Degree in Electrical Technology from Northeastern University in June 1982. Since then he has worked in the Biomedical Engineering Department as a highly skilled technician and excellent educator. Over the years, he has trained many biomedical technicians and healthcare providers within the hospital and its satellite facilities. Walter has been a member of the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation since 1985 and currently serves on two subcommittees concerned with physiologic patient monitoring. In his spare time, Walter enjoys the restoration of antique cars. Congratulations, Walter.
