| D.M.B. Jackson, H(ASCP) Laboratory Medicine
D.M.B. Jackson has devoted her entire 45 years as a medical technologist
to Children’s. She started working at Children’s immediately after
graduating from Northeastern University. Dorothy readily shares
her wealth of knowledge about hematology, chemistry, and the world—and
makes no qualms about sharing her favorite foods: yellow cake and
vanilla ice cream. Her personal rewards are through her dedication
and commitment to the hospital. Dorothy never requests vacation
time off, never calls out sick, she arrives to work earlier than
scheduled and starts working immediately. She is lovingly referred
to as the “busy-bee” of the laboratory for always performing multiple
tasks—usually at the same time! Due to her extensive years of service,
Dorothy has seen it all, and at times physicians and peers seek
out her professional expertise. We are happy, privileged, and fortunate
to have Dorothy on our team. We can truly say that the entire Department
of Laboratory Medicine would like to congratulate Dorothy for her
years of consistent, outstanding performance. Laboratory Medicine
