New VP for Real Estate and Planning Development

Charles Weinstein

n February, Children’s welcomed Charles Weinstein as the new vice president for Real Estate and Planning Development. With more than 30 years of experience in real estate and development roles at multiple institutions, he will help develop new properties for Children’s as it continues to grow. Weinstein will oversee the completion of the new clinical building and many other projects that aim to consolidate clinical and research services while reducing overcrowding.

Weinstein comes from Johns Hopkins Institutions in Maryland, where he was director of Real Estate Services. In this role, he managed the design and construction of offices, research and laboratory facilities, voice data connectivity, and NIH-funded lab operations.

“With the opening of our new research building last year, and the new clinical building opening in 2005, Charles enters Children’s at a very important time,” says Children’s CEO James Mandell, MD. “We look forward to working in partnership with Charles and the Board to keep Children’s at the forefront of change.”
