Legislators tour Children's

More than 20 state legislators took a break from their Beacon Hill offices to visit Children's Hospital Boston on Tuesday, Feb. 1. During the tour, they got an inside look at the hospital from providers in the Primary Care Center, Emergency Department and the Neonatal and Cardiac Intensive Care Units. The day was designed to give them an overview of Children's clinical care, research, training and community programs to help better inform their policy decisions

A special musical guest

On Tuesday, Feb. 8, local Boston band Averi (below) performed an acoustic set for patients at Children's Hospital Boston. Averi has a special connection to the hospital in band member Stu Berk (second from right), who had 14 operations at Children's to correct a childhood ear defect.

Car seat safety

Did you know that more than 80 percent of car seats are not properly installed? On Monday, Feb. 14, Children's Hospital Boston's Injury Prevention Program and Child Passenger Safety Task Force teamed up with BuckleUpBoston! to demonstrate proper car seat use. While their parents asked questions about car seat safety, Children's patients, like Terrianna Brown (above), enjoyed the video presentation of "I'm Safe! In The Car."
