Gratitudes

The following letter was sent to Robert Shamberger, MD, chief of Surgery.

Dear Dr. Shamberger,

I would like to bring to your attention that on Friday, September 24, 2004, my son Omar Atyia, who is one year old, underwent a major and successful surgery performed by Dr. Tom Jaksic. I express my deepest thanks and appreciation to his surgical and anesthesia team. Also, I wish to thank the ICU medical staff and nurses, as well as the staff members of 8 West for their obvious care and vigilant follow-up. I am grateful to all the personnel in the International Office—particularly, Treza Saad, who coordinated and facilitated all the arrangements to make it possible for all of us to come and receive outstanding care at Children's Hospital Boston. Once again, my respect and gratitude to you all.

Sincerely,
Abdel Karim Atyia
