Children's Hospital Boston ranks second on Child magazine's 2005 best pediatric hospital's list, which hits newsstands this month. Children's also ranks second in the specialty areas of cardiac care and orthopaedic care, fourth in cancer care and sixth in neonatal care.
This is the third time the magazine has ranked the nation's best pediatric hospitals. Children's has ranked second behind Children's Hospital of Philadelphia each time, but there were only four points separating the two institutions this year.
"We are proud to be at the top of this list," says Chief Operating Officer Sandra Fenwick. "This is a testament to the commitment to excellence of all of our employees. Child magazine is an important resource for parents looking for information on the best places to obtain specialty pediatric care, so it's important to have a strong showing in the survey."
