Mark Schuster, MD, PhD |
Mark Schuster, MD, PhD, is our new chief of General Pediatrics and vice chair for Health Policy Research. Since doing his residency at Children's, Schuster has gone on to hold several notable positions. Most recently, he was the director of Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at RAND and for the past nine years, he's been director of the UCLA/RAND Center for Adolescent Health Promotion. He is now conducting NIH studies on childhood obesity prevention, adolescent sexual health, children with HIV-infected parents and the use of paid family leave by families of chronically ill children.

David Williams, MD |
David Williams, MD, has been appointed our new chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology and director of Clinical and Translational Research. Williams was formerly the director of the Division of Experimental Hematology and associate director for Translational Research at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. He trained in hematology/oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His major areas of research are blood stem cell biology, blood formation, leukemia and the treatment of genetic blood disorders using gene therapy.

Jean Wilkinson, PhD |
Finally, Jean Wilkinson, PhD, has come on board as the new director of Human Services at Martha Eliot Health Center. His former positions as director for the Ewing Residential Programs in the Department of Families and Children and director of the Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center gave him extensive experience in case management. He'll also use his expertise in providing comprehensive mental health services for families who struggle with mental illness, substance abuse and homelessness. |
