|
Peter V. Hauschka, Ph.D. directs a bone biology research laboratory at Children's Hospital Boston within the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He was educated at Amherst College (B.A., 1964, cum laude, Biophysics) and The Johns Hopkins University (Ph.D., 1969, cum laude, Biochemistry). After postdoctoral training at Johns Hopkins and the University of Colorado, he joined the research staff at Children's Hospital in 1973. He studies the molecular and cellular processes involved in bone growth, and diseases that attack the skeletal system. As an Associate Professor at Harvard Schools of Medicine and Dental Medicine, he teaches medical and dental students and mentors students and fellows in laboratory research.
