 X X

The Stem Cell Program at Children's Hospital Boston sponsors multiple events designed to strengthen the already active community of stem cell research witin the hospital. Twice a year the program sponsors hospital-wide "Stem Cell Days" (click on a date above for information on past programs).

Poster sessions, hESC Culture training programs and a journal club are just a few more of the activities underway for Program Affiliates and members of their labs.

The HSCI hESC Core Facility at Children's Hospital hosts a weekly stem cell journal club. Interesting new research papers on stem cells are presented and discussed over a pizza lunch at 12:30pm every Wednesday, in the 7th floor seminar room of the Karp Building. Regular participants should put their names on the list of presenters. This event is open to anyone in the Harvard/CHB stem cell community. Every other month a stem cell bioethics seminar, moderated by Dr. Louis Guenin, is held instead of the journal club to focus on the ethical and societal aspects of stem cell research. Here too, regular participants are encouraged to volunteer as presenters. All events are also announced by the HSCI (on their web page and by e-mail). ?
