Glaser Pediatric Research Network

Glaser Pediatric Research Network Fellowships

The Network realizes that the supply of clinical investigators in pediatrics needs to be expanded in order for well-conducted studies to be preformed now and in the future. Therefore, funding will be provided each year for a two-year fellowship in pediatric clinical research at each of the five member sites. Individuals reveiving Glaser Fellowships will be mentored in a highly productive clinical research environment, including didactic coursework in the methods of clinical research, participation in multicenter studies and successful design and undertaking of an independent research plan.

Project Objective

The major objective of the Glaser Pediatric Clinical Investigator Fellowship is to attract and train future pediatric clinical investigators, who will be able to compete successfully for independent grant support in the future. Fellows will directly benefit from the collaborative clinical research environment created by the Network in a number of ways. First, the Network will expand the type and variety of available clinical research opportunities. Second, interaction with established clinical researchers at the participating academic medical centers will enhance clinical research training and productivity. Finally, the Network is developing a common curriculum that will be complemented by unique mentored clinical research opportunities at each of the Network institutions.
