Children and teenagers with chronic illnesses such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis need the best care throughout their lives. The Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease at Boston Children's Hospital is a team of physicians, nurses, nutritionists and other professionals dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Our goal is always to provide the best care, identify new treatments, and one day cure these diseases.
Children and teenagers with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis have a wide variety of needs, including management of medications, nutritional counseling, monitoring of growth and development, surgical care, and psychological support. We always try to provide patient-focused, empathic, and compassionate care.

To uphold this mission our Center is committed to discovering the causes of, and improving the treatments for, Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Additionally, through education and training we ensure that pediatric IBD specialists of tomorrow are equipped to carry on our goal of excellence.
