Neurogenetics Post-doctoral Training Fellowship
A neurogenetics post-doctoral training fellowship is available to work in the laboratory of Elizabeth Engle MD, Professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology and HHMI Investigator. The fellow will use SNP-based linkage combined with exome and whole genome next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies to identify new neurodevelopmental disease genes primarily involved in brainstem and cranial nerve development. A strong background in molecular genetics, statistical genetics and data analysis is required. The fellow will work closely with other members of the Engle research team as well as the larger Boston Children’s Hospital / Harvard Medical School NGS community.
The Engle lab is situated within the Boston Children’s Hospital Neurobiology Center in the new Center for Life Sciences Building, 3 Blackfan Circle, Boston, MA, adjacent to Children’s Hospital Boston and Harvard Medical School. The fellow will have ample opportunities to take advantage of the vibrant scientific community of Harvard Medical School and its affiliated hospitals.
