Research Overview
My research interests lie in the broad area of signal, image and information processing, with emphasis on medical and biomedical applications. I have conducted research on functional and anatomic magnetic resonance (MRI) neuroimaging, brain functional localization, and image registration, segmentation and analysis. At the Computational Radiology Laboratory I have been working on motion-robust pediatric MRI, fetal MRI and super-resolution MRI with applications in studying normal brain development, neurodevelopmental disorders and the mechanisms of brain injury.
About Ali Gholipour
Ali Gholipour is an instructor in Radiology at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Computational Radiology Laboratory at Children's Hospital Boston. He received his PhD from the Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science of the University of Texas at Dallas, where he also collaborated with the Neuroimaging Research Laboratory of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center from 2004 to 2008. He completed his postdoctoral training in medical imaging at Harvard Medical School and Children's Hospital Boston in 2010.
Gholipour is a member of IEEE, has co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed articles and has been a reviewer for many scientific journals and medical imaging societies, including IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, IEEE signal processing society, IEEE engineering in medicine and biology society, MICCAI, ISMRM, CARS and IBMISPS.
