Research Overview
Dr. Furuta specializes in allergic diseases of the intestinal tract, in particular, diseases characterized by eosinophils, an allergic cell commonly seen in diseases such as asthma and eczema. His research focuses on the clinical and basic aspects of these diseases.
About Glenn Furuta
Glenn Furuta received his MD from Baylor College of Medicine, where he subsequently completed an internship and residency. He completed a fellowship at Children's Hospital Boston.
Dr. Furuta is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, American Gastroenterological Association, and the International Eosinophil Society.?He serves on the medical advisory board for the non-profit organization, The American Partnership for Eosinophilic Diseases.? Dr. Furuta also acts as the Associate Training Director for the Harvard Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Training Program.
