Fellowship Awards

Congratulations to Duyu Nie, the 2011 Manton Center Fellowship Awardee!
The purpose of the Fellowship Award Program is to support the salary and minimal expenses of MD and/or PhD level Fellows in hopes that the individuals continue a successful career studying and treating orphan diseases. Fellowships of approximately $75,000 total (after the current philanthropic overhead rate) will be granted for a two year term.
Dr. Nie now joins Dr. Erin Janssen as Manton Center Fellows. We are proud to support such promising young scientists!
The Visiting Scientist Program
The Manton Center for Orphan Disease Research was created to develop new methods for understanding, diagnosing and treating unusual diseases. We understand that often times, collaborations between researchers, physicians and patients are needed to accomplish these goals. The Visiting Scientist Program was established to foster these relationships, and events promoting collaborations are eligible for financial support from The Manton Center. If you are planning such an event, from a single lecture by a local speaker to a larger conference, please complete the following application for financial support.
Up to $1,000 may be requested for visiting speakers, and up to $2,500 may be requested for larger meetings. Funding is determined by necessity, event goals, and cohesion with The Manton Center's mission.
Applications should be submitted to Meghan Connolly and will be considered on a rolling basis, subject to fund availability.
