Research Overview

Eugene D'Angelo has evaluated outcomes of clinical care based on consecutive cases presenting to the Department of Psychiatry Outpatient service for treatment and has identified factors that promote efficacy of therapy and rates of long-term remission of symptoms. He is presently working with William Beardslee on large multi-site NIMH supported effort focused on families in which parents have depression and youngsters are manifesting its symptoms. The study employs a group approach in working with families to avoid depression.

Eugene D'Angelo received his PhD from the University of Michigan and completed a post doctoral fellowship at Children's Hospital Boston.
