On October 1st, Nadine Gaab will be presenting on the reading brain at the Learning Differences Awareness Conference in Providence, RI. We are honored to be invited to present at the conference alongside some of the greatest researchers, educators, and practitioners in the field. The event features the latest research on Response to Intervention (RtI) by keynote speaker Dr. Jack Fletcher (University of Houston) and 24 fantastic workshops.
On October 5th, please join us for join us for a viewing of "Journey Into Dyslexia" to be followed by a panel discussion. JOURNEY INTO DYSLEXIA originally aired on HBO on May 11, 2011. It presents profiles of dyslexic students and adults who share their experiences of struggling in school and then succeeding in life. Academy-Award winning filmmakers Alan and Susan Raymond examine the complexities of this differently structured brain and debunk the myths and misperceptions about dyslexia. On October 28th, Nadine will be presenting at the Reading, Language, and the Brain: Understanding the Development of Literacy conference at Yale University.This day-long seminar will focus on understanding recent advances in the development of literacy, and its failure in developmental dyslexia, with emphasis on the brain. Discussions will emphasize the translation of scientific findings into application in the school and home.
