Research Overview
Dr. Bousvaros studies the pathogenesis and therapy of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Goals of Dr. Bousvaros's research include the identification of microbial pathogens that may trigger exacerbations of Crohn's disease or ulcearative colitis and the evaluation of probiotic therapies in the treatment of IBD.
About Athos Bousvaros
Dr. Bousvaros received an MD from Duke University and an MPH from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed fellowships at Children's Hospital Boston and Massachusetts General Hospital.
