Tetralogy of Fallot Genetics Registry

Introduction
Cardiologists and research scientists at Children's Hospital Boston, Brigham & Women's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School are studying the connection between genes (DNA) and congenital heart defects, especially tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).

Genes are the "instruction manual" for the development of the human body, including the heart. For more information about the genetics of TOF, please go to Genetics of Tetralogy of Fallot

We hope that our research will uncover genetic causes of heart defects such as tetralogy of Fallot. This information may potentially help us to provide better answers to families' questions regarding causes and recurrence risks. It may also provide clues to future interventions and/or treatments.
