In his research, Francis McGowan seeks to define the mechanisms of cellular injury that may occur during cardiopulmonary bypass. He is particularly interested in ischemic reperfusion and inflammation.
About Francis McGowan

Francis McGowan is a graduate of Duke University School of Medicine. He completed an internship and residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital and a Fellowship at Duke University Hospital.

Dr. McGowan is President-Elect of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia.
