National Postdoctoral Association annual meeting 2008
The 6th National Postdoctoral Association (NPA) annual meeting was held over the weekend of Friday, April 25 through Sunday, April 27. All sessions will be held at The Conference Center at Harvard Medical, 77 Avenue Louis Pasteur, Boston.
The NPA provides a national voice for postdoctoral scholars. Please see the National Postdoctoral Association web site, www.nationalpostdoc.org .
Meetings will cover topics specific for postdoctoral research fellows and the organizations that support them, as varied as "Enhancing the Postdoctoral Experience for Non-US Postdocs" to "Zen and the Art of Personal Conflict Maintenance."
The Children's Hospital Boston Office of Fellowship Training is a Sustaining Member of the NPA, a Co-sponsor of the 2008 Annual Meeting, and on the Planning Committee for the 2008 Annual Meeting.
Anyone can attend and on-line registration closes next Friday, April 11th. Up to $75 surcharge will be added to all on-site registrations.

The National Postdoctoral Association is pleased to offer a special 50% discount to postdocs affiliated with Harvard Medical School to attend the NPA's 6th Annual Meeting in Boston at the Harvard Medical Conference Center. This offer is available to postdocs at HMS, DFCI, BWH, CHB, and MGH. This offer is only available to NPA members. If you wish to take advantage of this offer and are not currently a member of the NPA, you may join for free as an affiliate member. This free membership is available because the five institutions that comprise the host committee are all sustaining institutional members of the NPA. Click here to join the NPA as an affiliate member. Once you have completed a membership application, please wait for e-mail confirmation. Once you have received this, you may proceed to the meeting registration page. At this time, the only form available is a PDF. Please download and complete the affiliate member (or other membership category) version of the form. When totaling the fees, please apply a 50 percent discount (this discount applies to both the pre-meeting workshops and the main meeting). Please also provide your professional contact information. This form should be faxed or mailed with your payment. We hope to have an automated online form available soon, but have been experiencing technical difficulties with our website vendor. If you wish to wait, the pre-registration cut-off is April 11th. On-site registration will require a $25 surcharge and is not subject to the discount.
