What should I bring?

Please bring a variety of foods (liquids, purees, solids) from home to feed your child. Also bring any special feeding utensils your child is currently using.

If your appointment is with a feeding team, please bring your completed feeding history form and questionnaire. These forms will be sent to you prior to your visit.

Should my child eat anything before our visit?

For either a clinical feeding assessment or feeding team appointment your child should come hungry to the appointment.

For a Videofluoroscopic swallow study your child should not be fed 3 hours prior to the appointment.

How long will the appointment take?

  • Clinical feeding assessments typically last 2 hours.
  • Feeding team appointments can take up to 3 hours.
  • Videofluoroscopic swallow studies take approximately 90 minutes.
The future of pediatrics will be forged by thinking differently, breaking paradigms and joining together in a shared vision of tackling the toughest challenges before us.”
