The Boston Children's Hospital Neurosurgical Stroke Program combines the world-class strengths of the hospital's Department of Neurosurgery with the knowledge and care of many other teams across Boston Children's.

All of our experts work closely together in a multidisciplinary effort dedicated to the treatment of children who have strokes.

Featured Staff

Dr. Michael Scott is a pediatric neurosurgeon and former neurosurgeon-in-chief at Boston Children's Hospital.


Dr. Edward Smith is a pediatric neurosurgeon, director of Pediatric Cerebrovascular Surgery and also co-director of both the Neurosurgical Stroke Program and the Center for Head, Neck and Skull Base at Boston Children's.

Dr. Darren Orbach is a pediatric interventional radiologist, division chief of Interventional Radiology and director of Neurointerventional Radiology at Boston Children's.
