Boston Children's Hospital's Center for Continence of Urine and Bowel treats children with urine and bowel incontinence resulting from congenital anomalies, such as anorectal, spinal, neuromuscular or urological malformations. The team is made up of specialists from Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Urology, and patients meet with specialists from all of these fields. Doctors from our other Boston Children's departments, such as Behavioral Medicine, Radiology and Orthopedics, are often consulted.

Our expertise

Boston Children's is home to the largest research facility at a pediatric institution in the world. Recent studies have focused on inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.
