NursingThe Department of Nursing at Boston Children's is acclaimed as a world leader in providing the most advanced, compassionate and safest family-centered, pediatric care. The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) designates the hospital as a Magnet facility. The Magnet Recognition Program® recognizes health care organizations for quality patient care, nursing excellence and innovations in professional nursing practice.

Chief Nursing Officer Laura J. Wood, DPN, MS, RN

Laura Wood, DNP, MS, RN, joined Boston Children's Hospital in May 2013 as Chief Nursing Officer and Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services. She brings a unique perspective to Boston Children’s system of care through her blended background in pediatric nursing, improvement science, health care information technology and quality and safety.
