Food allergies are complicated conditions; their diagnosis and management are not straightforward. Correctly diagnosing food allergy requires an integrated assessment of a series of immunological tests, along with in-depth knowledge of the details of the patient’s allergy history and current understanding of this rapidly evolving field.

And once a food allergy has been accurately identified, its management can be time consuming—food allergies often require an ongoing communication and patient education over the course of months or years.

We know you want to provide your patients with the best possible care, and the team at Boston Children's shares that goal with you. We are committed to a collaborative approach to achieve superior outcomes for patients, and quickly returning them to their lives and your care. We welcome the opportunity to consult with you about patients, formally and informally, at any stage in their allergy management.  We are also available to visit with you and your office staff to provide educational updates on the diagnosis and management of food allergy.
