The Division of Genetics and Genomics brings clinical care together with research and discovery using the latest technologies. Our tools include next-generation DNA sequencing, chromosomal microarray and gene-expression studies, to name just a few.

Our mission is:

  • to diagnose and treat children, adolescents and adults with a known or suspected genetic disease
  • to help develop new treatments, cures and preventive measures
  • to guide the use of existing treatments
  • to better understand the genetics and basic biology of diseases—from common disorders such as autism to very rare disorders
  • to understand how genes and environment interact to cause disease We provide comprehensive diagnostic services and are available for consultations with patients, expectant parents and physicians.
