Visitors who rotate through the Radiology Department at Boston Children’s will have the opportunity to act as an observer in our reading rooms as they learn about the fundamentals of pediatric radiology and the unique needs of imaging children. Our visitor program is offered full-time for one month, with a maximum of three visitors at a time. The total number of visitor slots is subject to change depending on staff availability and other factors that influence the space in our reading rooms. We do not accept visitors during the following times:

  • During the winter holiday weeks: December 24, 2012 – January 6, 2013
  • During the months of July & August
  • During RSNA (December 1- 6, 2013) or SPR (May 14 – 18, 2013)

Visitor rotations are specifically scheduled in either Neuroradiology or Diagnostic according to the individual’s interests and goals. Visitors who request time in Diagnostic Radiology can observe in one specific modality or can rotate through each of the following areas:

  • Musculoskeletal (MSK)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Abdominal/Oncology
  • Chest/Cardiovascular
  • Fluoroscopy/Genitourinary/Gastrointestinal
  • STAT

Visitors will also have the opportunity to attend our morning and noon didactic conferences and daily educational lectures led by our faculty and fellows.
