There are many ways you can help children and their families get the care they need.
In the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH), we want to give you and your family ways to get involved in making our care better. We recognize that families are essential members of their child’s health care team. Family members know their children better than anyone else. We welcome families’ input to help us understand and support their child’s well-being.
The Psychiatry Family Advisory Council is a volunteer group of family representatives as well as members of Psychiatry leadership, who work together to improve patient care and families’ experiences in our Department. Council representatives meet quarterly, and serve a one-year term.
Accomplishments of the Council to-date:
We welcome caregivers of current Psychiatry patients to participate! To join the Council, please contact the Council coordinator, Rebecca Reilly, by phone at 617-919-4624 or by email.
If you are not interested in becoming a Council member, we still welcome your feedback. You can send any questions, comments, or concerns to the attention of the Council coordinator by using the contact information above. You may also write us a note and leave it in the suggestion boxes located in the waiting area of our Outpatient Clinic on Fegan 8, or in the entryway of our Inpatient Unit on Bader 5.
We are grateful to have been ranked #1 on U.S. News & World Report's list of the best children's hospitals in the nation for the third year in a row, an honor we could not have achieved without the patients and families who inspire us to do our very best for them. Thanks to you, Boston Children's is a place where we can write the greatest children's stories ever told.”
