The goal of the Autism Spectrum Center is to make visits to Boston Children’s Hospital as stress-free and valuable to you as possible. Families can get information and access all our ASD services through our one-stop phone line: 617-355-7493. Appointments are available in Boston and several convenient suburban locations.
As our care partners, we invite your observations and ideas about your child’s needs. Our Family Advisory Council, comprised of volunteer parents, meets several times a year to ensure the best experience for children with ASD and their caregivers.

My Hospital Story is a series of child-friendly guides to help children prepare for doctor visits or medical procedures—part of what makes Boston Children’s an “autism-friendly hospital.” More than a dozen stories, filled with photos, take children through everything from getting blood drawn to staying overnight in the hospital—starting from the moment they walk in the hospital door.
Helping kids express themselves: Our Center for Communication Enhancement has a toolbox of visual supports and technologies to help children with ASD.
A tool called TriVox Health (formerly known as ICISS Health) lets you, your child’s teachers and others track your child’s progress over time and share the information with our care team—freeing up visit time for concerns and questions. Read more about Trivox Health.
Help when you need it: Child life specialists are here to prepare your child for blood draws and other medical procedures. We also have dedicated resource specialists who work with you to connect with resources in your community. Read more about our supports on the Resources for Families page.

Thanks to you, Boston Children's is a place where we can write the greatest children's stories ever told.”
