Administrative Associate
Image Children's Hospital Boston seeks liberal arts majors to provide administrative support for a clinical service, medical/surgical practice, research, business or management office. Prepare and edit complex materials, such as grant proposals. Schedule appointments and meetings and maintain departmental files and records. Collect and record information on hospital and departmental databases, compile and distribute reports and prepare, route and track administrative forms and documents. Must have excellent customer service skills, experience with MS Word, and be detail-oriented.

End User Support Specialist

Children's Hospital Boston seeks computer science majors to support the Information Services Department. Function as one of the primary contacts between the ISD and the hospital community on matters involving computer related problems and/or requests for support. Assist users by promptly answering questions or resolving problems pertaining to computers, training one-on-one or in groups, testing and evaluation of new products. Responsibilities include on-site telephone support to all hospital users. Requires computer science/programming degree or two years of experience.

Human Resources Assistant
The Human Resources department of Children's Hospital Boston seeks liberal arts or management majors to provide support to all areas of Human Resources. Interact with employees, providing information and services regarding employment, benefits, compensation, and employee services. Requires in-depth knowledge of departmental programs and services. Lead Teacher
Children's Hospital Boston seeks education or child development majors to be lead teachers responsible for the day-to-day operations of on-site child care center classroom. Work with a team of teachers to provide a caring environment where children are safe and secure. Develop classroom goals consistent with program goals. Plan age appropriate daily activities, classroom routines, and classroom design with teaching team. Work requires an associate's degree in Child Development and educational practice or at least two years of experience. Requires certification as an OFC lead teacher from the State Office for Children.
Outpatient Finance Representative

Collects insurance, demographic, and patient data. Answer questions and provide information on individual open accounts or insurance/managed care issues. Pre-Certification Representative
Children's Hospital Boston seeks finance majors for this entry level position. The pre-certification representative obtains referral/authorization numbers for outpatient clinic visits/services. Verifies demographic, patient and financial data for each managed care encounter. Provides counseling to parents/patients regarding the referral acquisition process, or the free care application process if appropriate. Maintains a high level of knowledge of insurance with managed care requirements, including Medicaid managed care requirements. Communicates insurance plan requirements to parents/patients, and providers, insurance carriers and clinic staff. Ensures that the appropriate process is followed. Strong communication and customer service skills required. Experience with MS Office preferred.
Research Technician
The world-renowned laboratories at Children's Hospital Boston seek detail-oriented biology and chemistry majors to perform a variety of routine and specialized laboratory tests, specimen preparations and experimental procedures for the purpose of research. Assist in the use of specialized laboratory equipment and analysis of data generated by this equipment. Record and check results of tests for completeness and accuracy. Troubleshoot procedures for effects of various elements. May suggest alternative procedures to crosscheck own findings. Maintain records of results and methodologies. Must be detail-oriented and able to work with minimal supervision.
