Children's Hospital Boston is one of the
oldest, most distinguished pediatric
hospitals in the world.
For more than 135 years, Children's has been a
leader in providing compassionate health care for
children, performing research in childhood and
adult diseases, and training future leaders in
medicine and surgery.
Children's is the primary pediatric teaching
hospital of Harvard Medical School. For the past 19
years, Children's has been ranked in the top two of
America's Best Hospitals, according to U.S.News
& World Report.
Children's is the largest provider of medical
care to low-income children in Massachusetts and
is heavily focused on four major health issues
affecting children: asthma, mental health, obesity
and injury prevention. Sixty-five percent of
patients at Children's Primary Care Center live in
Roxbury, Jamaica Plain, Mattapan or Dorchester.
Since 1973, Children's has owned and
operated the Martha Eliot Health Center in Jamaica
Plain, which provides primary health care services
to the communities of Mission Hill, Jamaica Plain,
Roslindale, Dorchester and Roxbury.
We are proud to serve our community as
The Hospital for Children.
