Flower Linking Hands Program
Linking Hands is coordinated by a Children's Hospital Boston employee who is also the parent of a child with special health care needs. Residents are matched to a family with a child who has complex special health care needs and developmental disabilities. The resident goes to the family's home for a day and the family shares their experiences, providing the resident with insight into the challenges and joys of their family life. Linking Hands is offered to residents in their primary care blocks, through the advocacy program in their primary care clinic and as an elective experience.
