The BCRP makes every effort to allow residents the freedom to pursue special research pathways that meet their needs. For example, residents have occasionally left the program for a year to undertake or complete a project, and a few have reorganized their senior year to allow them to participate in a six-month period of concentration in an area of subspecialty interest.
