Flower Cardiology
nurse BCRP interns spend one month as part of the inpatient cardiology team at Children's Hospital Boston. The service is comprised of 3-4 interns, two first or second year cardiology fellows, two cardiology attendings, two nurse practioners, up to 3 medical students and an administrative medical team associate. Each intern has primary responsibility for the evaluation and management of a wide range of patients with congenital and acquired pediatric heart diseases, under the supervision of the cardiology fellows. Outpatient cardiology clinic experiences are also available during this rotation. Daily didactic sessions presented by faculty cardiologists and geared exclusively to residents and medical students focus on core topics in pediatric cardiology from EKG reading to care of patients with complex congenital heart disease.
